Maybe it's about their driving. Their finances. Whether they should still be living alone. Whatever it is, you know it needs to happen — and you keep putting it off, because every time you've tried, it's gone sideways. Defensiveness. Silence. A conversation that started with love and ended in tension.
You're not bad at this. You just haven't been given the tools.
In 5 weeks, you'll have answers to the four questions every adult child is quietly carrying:
1. How do I trust what I'm seeing? You notice things (the missed bill, the new dent in the car) and second-guess yourself. You'll learn how to recognize the three R's to a pattern with your aging parent.
2. How do I navigate the role shift? You didn't sign up to parent your parent. You'll learn to talk about this role shift.
3. How do I find the time? One of the best tools I've helped people with, is recognizing their own values and how that aligns with their behavior. You'll do this exercise and so will your aging parents. Both parties should gain clarity about how to spend time.
4. How do I talk about it without starting a fight? Not with a script. With the skills to stay curious and grounded, so the conversation stays connected even when it gets hard.
Here's the thing: no script would have saved you in that moment anyway. The right words for one conversation are the wrong words for the next one — because every conversation, every parent, every day is different.
What actually changes things isn't a better line to say. It's a different way of showing up — one that lets you navigate whatever comes up, in any conversation, instead of just getting through one scripted moment.
That's what this program teaches: not words to memorize, but communication skills you'll use for the rest of this relationship.

I've spent 15+ years in senior living, watching countless families reach crisis point simply because no one taught them how to have the conversation sooner.
I'm trained in Motivational Interviewing, the same communication approach used in healthcare to help people navigate change without triggering resistance.
Today, I help families communicate about aging with empowerment and autonomy, not persuasion, so change lands inside a relationship, not against one. This program is everything I wish every family had before things got hard.
This isn't about memorizing the "right" thing to say for one specific conversation. It's about building real communication skills — curiosity, presence, how to stay grounded when things get tense — so you can handle whatever conversation actually comes up, not just the one you rehearsed for.
Kick-off Call: October 2nd at 12pm PT Every participant is invited to a live kick-off call to walk through what to expect and get you started strong. It will be recorded and available in the online community.

"I now know — post program — when I need to have these conversations, the goal isn't telling aging parents what to do, it's pulling the plan out of them."
- Rachel

"They finally opened up."
"Week 1, I tried talking about my parents' ambivalence with them, and they opened up — way more than they ever do!"

You want real connection with your aging parent, not control over them
You can see the train wreck coming and would rather talk now than clean up later
You’re open to a new mindset, not just a new script
You never want to hear “you made me do this”
You’re having proactive conversations, not safety conversations
You want new communication skills for this conversation and beyond
You only want to be direct — no interest in a different approach
You want control, not connection
You’ve already decided your parent is “just stubborn"
You’re so concerned about safety it’s time to be direct — a free consult is a better fit than this class
Who this COULD be for:
This program teaches you how to have the conversation — the kind aimed at change, decisions, next steps. If you're navigating memory loss with a parent, that kind of conversation often isn't the right tool anymore. This program isn't built for those with dementia, however many families find the skills helpful in communicating.
That's why we include a separate bonus resource for connecting with someone who has dementia—built around reflective language and meeting them in their world, not "having a talk."

No — and that's on purpose. Scripts only work for the exact conversation they were written for. This program teaches you the underlying communication skills (curiosity, presence, navigating resistance and staying grounded) so you can handle whatever actually comes up, in any conversation, not just the one you prepared for. Rooted in Motivational Interviewing you learn the effective way to talk about change with aging parents.
About 10-15 minutes a day for the video, plus time for the weekly challenge and workbook — as much or as little as you want to invest in the reflection prompts.
This is a self-paced program you can start anytime and move through on your own schedule. Finish it in 5 weeks, or several months. Everyone (self-paced and upgrade) is invited to a live kick-off call on October 2nd at 12pm PT to walk through what to expect.
This program builds the communication foundation that makes those bigger conversations more possible. It's not a substitute for professional care planning, but it will change how those conversations go.
No — this program is for you. The tools and mindset shifts are things you apply on your end, though many people find their parents respond differently once they do.

Week 2: Shifting Roles and role traps, Understanding empathy and sympathy and stating your intention
Week 3: Curiosity, becoming an asker instead of a teller, the stages of change
Week 4:Reflective statements and how values drive behavior
Week 5: Putting it all together with the SNAACKS framework
If you want 1 on 1 support, you get 50% off 1 on 1 consulting for 10 weeks from purchase date. Plenty of time to try new skills and get support.
If you go through Week 1 and it's not landing, email me within 7 days of purchase and I'll refund you, no questions asked. I'd rather you feel confident saying yes than worry about being stuck.
They might. And that's not a sign you did it wrong.
This isn't about finding the magic words that unlock cooperation — it's about mindset and delivery. The same sentence said from anxiety lands completely differently than that sentence said from curiosity and calm. That's what we're training: how you show up, not a script to recite. But even the best delivery can't guarantee someone else's response. Resistance isn't a personality flaw or a failure on your part — it's part of how communication works when two people are navigating change together.
And if your parent is living with dementia or another form of cognitive decline, I want to be honest with you: their executive functioning may not work the way it used to, and that changes what's possible in any given conversation. No approach — mine or anyone else's — can guarantee an outcome when the brain itself is part of what's changed.
What I can promise is this: you'll finish this program with an expanded understanding of communication and connection, so you're more equipped to set both yourself and your parent up for the best possible chance at a positive conversation — this time, or the next one, or the one after that. That's the part that's actually yours to build.
